Let's talk about S....

So today, in the morning show "Eyewitness Morning on K24", I talked to Getrude Mungai on Communicating Sexual Issues between parents and children, and between married couples. Initially, the content of the show was to centre mainly on how to talk about 'The Birds and Bees' with your children. But the show took a whole complete turn when people kept texting raunchy...and I mean R-A-U-N-C-H-Y questions.

Getrude Mungai is a Lifestyle Designer in Sex and Relationships (the title 'Sexologist' died for obvious reasons) and she's very bold, blunt and frank in talking about sex. She gave advice to both men and women (in the marriage context that is) on how to spice up their sex lives, health and hygiene issues amongst many other issues.

As much as I was swirling and turning in my seat...and I was perspiring internally...I actually enjoyed the show. Not that I think sex should never be talked about...but I was in the public eye for those one and a half hours..and you know how people can read news anchors through their expressions. And seeing that I'm not married, I had to find a way, to look shocked yet not shocked, nod my head yet not nod my head....sigh...I tried to stay calm. But the questions people were asking? OUTRAGEOUS!!

It just shows that SEX is a topic that needs to be discussed openly and freely because trust me, people out there are ignorant.
